Kornati National Park

It consists of 89 islands, islets, rocks, a wealth of  karst landscape, craggy coastline and wealthy ecosystems.  To the national park you can come by boat.  It is paradise for scientists, nature lovers and deep sea enthusiasts.  The largest European  long-eared owl’s habitat is on the island of Kornati .

The Kornati National Park covers the bigger part of the Kornati waters. It has interesting geomorphology,  coast, rich  submarine eco-system and the islands of Kornati  were made as a national park in 1980.

The Kornati archipelago is located between Šibenik and Zadar islands.  It covers the area  about 320 km2. The archipelago makes 12% of all the islands in the Croatian Adriatic – 1264 islands. 67 of them are  inhabited.
The Kornati Archipelago represents the unspoiled nature.
