Korcula
From Dubrovnik to Korcula by boat. Full day from 09.00 – 18.00. We’ll pick you in Dubrovnik and our destination is Korcula. Korcula is also known as the Emeralde Isle.
Korčula is one of Dalmatia’s most relaxing getaways. The main town of the same name, set on the north-eastern tip of the island opposite the Pelješac peninsula, has one of the best-preserved medieval centres in the Adriatic. Historic Korčula is therefore the most popular south-Dalmatian destination after the more crowded Dubrovnik.
This beautiful island and town is blessed with oodles of beautiful beaches. The southern part of the island has mainly sand beaches, often nestled in isolated bays, whereas the pebbly beaches of the northern side tend to be more flat and shallow.
Pupnatska Luka is today a beautiful crescent of fine pebble, and is arguably the best of Korčula’s south-coast beaches. Lumbarda’s sandy beaches are arguably the best on the island. A lot of beaches, hidden bay, clear sea….our skipper will show you the best place for bathing, snorkeling, nice restaurants…
Korčula island is known for its sweet cakes and its famous Korčula olive oil, one of Croatia’s best delicacies. Under the general heading of cukarini, they come in different varieties, such as pršurate elsewhere called prikle (deep-fried dough with almonds and raisins) and lumblija (sweet bread with wine and spices).
Set a few steps from the western entrance to the Old Town, the terrace of Hotel De La Ville captures the days of Korčula’s belle époque. Since 1912, this was the spot to enjoy coffee and excellent wine from local vineyards.
Lunch in some of beautiful restaurants on this amazing island.
On the boat you have snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, fins), drinks on board (water, soft drinks, beer).
