Baška Voda is a small town on the Makarska Riviera, with about 2100 inhabitants.This tourist jewel located on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. It is 10 kilometers northwest of the city of Makarska and 45 kilometers of the Split. The name of Baška Voda probably comes from Biston, the mythical ancestor of the Thracian tribes of Bistonen. Archaeological finds suggest that this area was inhabited since Roman times. Settlement was established in the early 18th century. There are two churches in Baška Voda: St. Lovro’s Church and St. Nicholas’ Church.
