Trogir is an island with one of the biggest historical heritage in the world, abound in beauty and history and it’s protected by UNESCO. It is an excellent example of a medieval town. Its beautiful Romanesque churches are complemented by the outstanding Renaissance and Baroque buildings from the Venetian period.
St. Lawrence Cathedral with its majestic portal of Radovan, priceless collection of the Chapel of st. Ivan Trogirski and gothic church bell make the local people very proud.
Take a walk through the town and let your imagination take you to historical times. Relax on the main town square, enjoy the view of the cathedral, town clock and palace.
After Trogir, our next destination is Split.
Split is home to one of the best preserved Roman remains in the world – the Diocletian Palace.
If you are a history buff, Split’s Old Town can keep you engaged for hours. The most prominent landmark here is the Diocletian Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At the heart of the palace is the monumental courtyard known as the Peristil.
The Split Old Town is full of charming nooks.
