The most famous beach (Zlatni rat) in all of Croatia is the beach in Bol, on the island of Brac.

The eighth deepest cave in the world is in Croatia. It is Lukina cave with 1,392 m of deep and lays in the National Park of Sjeverni Velebit, 1,475 m above sea level.

On the mountain Vidova Gora, located on the Island of Brac is the peak Sutvid. Sutvid is the highest peak in the Adriatic Islands.

Town of Zadar keeps the title of the best sunset in the world. It was the opinion of Alfred Hitchcock. He said: ‘Zadar has the most beautiful sunset in the world, more beautiful than the one in Key West, Florida’.

The Rijeka Carnival is not only the biggest in Croatia but also one of the most popular carnivals in Europe.

Wine is produced in Croatia thanks to the influence of Greeks.

In 1960, National Park of Paklenica was filmed the movie about the fictional Native American hero Winnetou.

Almost 10% of Croatia is covered with 11 nature parks, eight national parks and two nature reserves.
