Primošten is situated on a small island which is connected to mainland with a dike. It is located  20 km south of Šibenik. Beautiful town of Primošten  attracts many enthusiasts and tourists with its interesting architecture.

In the past, the island was protected with defensive walls and it was connected to the mainland by a wooden drawbridge.

Primošten became a symbol of international friendship.

Tourism is the most important economy branch for inhabitants of Primošten and Primošten area. Some still work the land and raise small cattle. Primošten olives and  quality olive oil is well known.
Famous wine and quality wine, it is Babić iwine. Vineyards have an official status of world monument of human work.

In Primošten, there is  the Parish Church of St. Juraj on top of the hill. It was built in the 15th ct. and since then it was renovated and upgraded several times. There is an old Primošten graveyard with a wonderful view next to the church.
At the entrance to the peninsula there is a Church of St Rocco and it is a valuable cultural monument.

Walking around the peninsula you can enjoy  the fantastic view and wonderful Mediterranean plants.

Fisherman’s evenings for tourists are very popular in Primošten. Various local food is barbecued and guests enjoy Dalmatian atmosphere with song and wine.
