Each of them has its own unique character and culture. The region has served as a crossroads of cultures since prehistoric times.

The region is full of incredible nature and beautiful national parks that are dedicated to protecting it. Triglav, Plitvice, Kornati, Durmitor, Park, Krka  of Nature Velebit are just some of the most well-known national parks.

The Balkans are also a melting pot of cultures, and you can observe this on every step of your travels. The diversity of religions and nationalities sadly contributed to the conflicts in the Balkans in the past.
