Grebeni
The islet of Grebeni is only some 300 m away from the well-known tourist resort Babin Kuk in Dubrovnik. In 1872, a lighthouse was built on the islet in order to make it easier for seamen to navigate into the port of Gruž, which is nowadays the main port in Dubrovnik. Lighthouse building has a large sunny terrace which is on 15m distance from the small quay below. The lighthouse dominates a very narrow sea-passage between two rocks.
Although it is situated in Dubrovnik, the apartment provides incredible seclusion, which is unthinkable of in other parts of the town of Dubrovnik.

110 m2, three double bedrooms (11,13 & 18 m2)
2 single bedrooms (7 & 8m2), kitchen + dining room (14 m2), living room (15m2)

THE STORY
Only a cruiser ship’s captain can experience the same feeling similar to all those standing on the front porch of Grebeni lighthouse, watching the frantic sea-traffic around the town of Dubrovnik. And only one ship surely can’t take part in it. The Italian freighter TARANTO ran into a sea-mine in the 1943. and sunk only 60 feet away from the lighthouse. And the tractors aboard her still lie scattered on the sea bottom, as if waiting for someone to find them and drive them ashore so they can find their meaning…
