It is a town where the river of Cetina blends with the sea. Beautiful town of Omi\u0161 is\u00a0surrounded with massive gorges and it is\u00a0situated in the mouth of the river of \u00a0Cetina. The town has its history and you can see it\u00a0on every corner.<\/p>\n<p>One of the famous tradition is the Omi\u0161 manifestation &#8220;Pirate Battle&#8221; and we can tell that is an attractive summer performance. Through this manifestation, the town acquires a brand as an ancient pirate town and more than 12 000 people are present that day.<\/p>\n<p>This spectacle is more important than the historical facts. Good spectacle, entertainment, nice food, summer and tourists expect it every year.<\/p>\n<p>The Pirate`s Battle is unique.\u00a0<strong>It is a reconstruction of the original battle from the 13 century.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0For this event members of &#8220;Kumpanije&#8221; from Kor\u010dula, Trombonists from Dubrovnik and Omi\u0161`s Pirates come to Omi\u0161. The battle describes the Venetians led by fleet commander Akoncije against the pirates. The battle takes place in Omi\u0161 port where the Omi\u0161`s pirates won after many and hard battles. They ordered the Venetians to pay in gold ducats for their passage along Bra\u010d Channel.<\/p>\n<p>The inhabitants of Omi\u0161 were excellent seamen.<\/p>\n<p>During the Middle Ages Omi\u0161 was infamous for its pirates whose ships brought fame to them.
