It spent much of its recent history serving as a Yugoslav military base, cut off from foreign visitors from the 1950 s right up until 1989. The island was isolated and its isolation preserved from development.<\/p>\n<p>The movie\u00a0<em>Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,<\/em>\u00a0filmed on the island. There is a lot of things to see.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blue Cave<\/strong>, located on the island of Bi\u0161evo, off Vis\u2019 southwestern tip. This coastal cave is one of the region\u2019s most famous natural sights. It\u2019s at its best between 11 am and noon, when the sun\u2019s rays pass through an underwater opening, bathing the interior in an unearthly blue light.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Green Cave<\/strong>\u00a0which is located on the open-sea side of the islet Ravnik, known for the visible green beam of light that penetrates through the opening on its ceiling and refracts on the sea surface. You can swim and discover this shimmering green underwater world. It is amazing, like a dream.<\/p>\n<p>Tiny\u00a0<strong>Stiniva<\/strong>\u00a0is Vis\u2019 most perfect cove.
