Sevid

Sevid

Sevid is a small town near Trogir, with family houses, apartments and beaches, ideal for a quiet holiday. It is situated on the coast of the sea. The saint patron of Sevid is St. Vid to whom the people have built a church, whose ruins still exist. Sevid is a Mediterranean town of unspoiled nature and crystal clear sea, exuding calm and tranquility, away from urban areas and daily traffic jams. The local population engages in agriculture (growing of grapes and olives) and fishing.  Sevid has a rich gastro domestic offer: extra virgin olive oil, Dalmatian smoked ham, goat cheese from the Dalmatian hinterland, quality lamb, lobsters, quality fish, shrimps, clams and quality wine produced in ancient local taverns.

You can enjoy a day trip to nearby islands where you will find secluded beaches and truly escape the crowds. Visit the towns close to Sevid which are themselves monuments (Šibenik, Trogir and Split). If you want to try to go hiking you can do so in the mountains Mosor and Kozjak, with a beautiful view of our very attractive islands (Vis, Hvar, Brac) once you reach the top. Sevid is also popular among boaters as it is located in a well indented part of the Croatian coast.

Trogir, or as many call it – “museum town” is located in the center of Dalmatia. Its harbor is a favorite destination for boaters because of good position and natural protection. The town is famous for its numerous historical monuments, some of which are: old town core, fort Kamerlengo, Cipico palace, renaissance church of St. John the Baptist,  St. Marko fortress, sculpture of the Blessed Ivan Orsini, St. Jeronim chappel, the portal of Radovan, museum…

Sibenik is a town located on the delta of the river Krka. It is the oldest self-developed town on the Adriatic because of which it is rich with historic sites, museums and galleries. You should visit St Mihovil fort, St. Nikola fort, St. Ivan fort, Subicevac fort,St. Frane church,  St. Jakov cathedral, St. Dominik church and four wells. In the quietness of the summer morning you can hear sea-gulls who are welcoming the fisherman’s from the sea with their noises. In the evening hours sitting on the balcony by the sea and with the drop of good vine, the sea is telling you it’s story while it is crashing on the rocks; it is Sevid, a small town in Dalmatia – Croatia.
